now i'm feeling so fly like a g6
I can't stop listening to this stupid song:
I can't stop listening to this stupid song:
Clementines make me so happy.
MCR has an album out; I loved "The Black Parade" album... this single bodes well for the rest of the album. (I love anthem rock, and MCR is the closest we get to it nowadays)
sing it out,
boy, you've got to see what tomorrow brings.
sing it out,
girl, you've got to be what tomorrow needs.
for every time
that they want to count you out,
and use your voice
every single time you open up your mouth
sing it for the boys,
sing it for the girls
every time you that you lose it
sing it for the world
sing it from the heart
sing it till you're nuts
sing it out for the world that'll hate your guts
sing it for the deaf
sing it for the blind
sing about everyone that you left behind
sing it for the world
sing it out, boy they're gonna sell what tomorrow means
sing it out girl, before they kill what tomorrow brings
you've got to make a choice,
if the music drowns you out.
and raise your voice,
every single time they try and shut your mouth.
cleaned up corporation,
park rats dying in the process
children that can talk about it
living on the railways
creeping, moving sideways
sell it till your last days
buy yourself the motivation
generation nothing
nothing but a death scene
product of a white dream
i am not the singer that you wanted,
but a dancer i refuse to answer
talk about the person rolling from the ones who want to get away
keep running...
sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls
every time you that you lose it sing it for the world
sing it from the heart
sing it till you're nuts
sing it out for the world that'll hate your guts
sing it for the deaf
sing it for the blind
sing about everyone that you left behind
sing it for the world
sing it for the world
you've got to see what tomorrow brings
sing it for the world,
yeah, you've got to be what tomorrow needs
sing it for the world.
I can't believe I fell for the whole, "Who sings that song? ... Oh, let's keep it that way" routine.

I've had sleep paralysis dreams before, and they're frightening (but on the upside, I have had flying dreams, which are pretty awesome). Generally, the sleep paralysis dreams follow the same pattern: I find myself "awake," and aware that my head is face down in the pillow. I try to move over on my side, since I have trouble breathing, but find I can't. This generally leads to anxiety as I worry if I'm going to suffocate in my sleep... then I summon all my strength to turn over, and the dream usually ends.
But last night's had a twist. I dreamt that I had woken up, and there was a guy in my apartment. He was mumbling, "money money money" - I couldn't see him directly, but i could see his shadow against the wall.
I tried to get up, but I couldn't. I tried to turn over and move my blanket away from my face, but find I couldn't. I reached over for my phone... which I was able to grab (to call 911), but as soon as it was in my hand, the phone disappeared.
It was a freaky-ass dream: I really freaked out - and with all my focus, I focused on sitting up. And when I did, the dream ended. I didn't even realize it was a dream until I woke up...
My computer speakers (Logitechs) burned out earlier this week. Not surprising, since I had those speakers since college-ish. (A solid 6+ years). I ordered a new set from Amazon, and holy crap are they NICE! The quality is noticeably better than my old ones - and the bass is way more thumpy.
So much thumpy, in fact, that tonight, as I was working, it made the monitor cable get a bit loose (I was listening to Daft Punk's new "Tron: Legacy" soundtrack), which caused all the text on my screen to get blurry.
I'm feeling pretty good right now - good music makes me happy.
. . .
And while I'm updating on pointless purchases, I also upgraded my bed. It had been a good while since I got that mattress (I believe my parents got it for me before I moved).
When I started looking at new mattresses, I wanted to upgrade to a queen (full-sized seems so college-y). But the price differential from upgrading the full -> queen wasn't that much less than full -> king. Since I'm buying something that should last me for the next 8 years, I went with a nice king-sized bed (Stearns & Foster).
Let me just say that mattress shopping is so stressful. More stressful than car shopping. At least car shopping is noticeably fun (Ooh, for an extra $10K i get this shiny whiz-bang!). With mattress buying, the guy brings over this sample "spring" box (or supermattresscoil, which is apparently some newfangled technology) and tries to make a mattress sound high-tech.
I'm pretty sure I got burned on the pricing, but whatever. I looked on eBay briefly and it was within range of what I was paying, so I didn't feel so bad.
