words cannot describe how pissed i am right now. my internet has always cut off at the most inopportune moments, and i just figured out why: apparently my telephone loves to interrupt my wireless router. i always wondered why my connection would drop during phone calls ...

i'm boycotting belkin routers cause the last one imploded on me, and tech support was no help. now it seems that linksys (with the coveted cisco logo on it) is just as shitty. are there ANY good routers out there??? and why the HELL do they make telephones and routers on the same frequency channels??????????????

ugh, not a good way to start monday morning.

I used to have that problem too. I wanted to kill everytime someone called in.

it's a G router right? if you broadcast in the B spectrum you cut out of the phone frequency.

option 2. get a different wireless phone. they come in all sorts of spectrums...

I use a D-Link router. Works fine for me.

Unlicensed spectrum.

Linksys pooped on their customer base when, under Cisco's fouled up "leadership", they started producing inferior equipment - less memory, non-open firmware, transmitters that burned out at moderate voltages, VSX O/S - for more bucks. Incredible.
