I think ESPN should stop referring to Miami as Miami (Fl). Nobody cares about Miami of Ohio. We should, by default, assume Miami means Miami, FL; we should be told explicitly when a media article refers to the other Miami. I don't know why this bugs me, but it really does. I mean, I should start a town called Dallas in NC so the media will be forced to start referencing Dallas as Dallas (TX).

I know what you mean. I hate it when we have to clarify our location to everyone by saying "state" after Washington. If we don't, they always say "DC?" Why would anyone live in Washington DC?

that would never work because texas is way too awesome to have one of its big cities get its name stolen by some lesser state. Though I don't much care for amarillo...or lubbock...then again, neither of those are large cities.
