A few mantras that help me: (within a tournament/SNG setting, cash games are a different beast altogether)

  • Don't chase draws out of position
  • Make positional bluffs only (except in small pots with limped players on a dead board)
  • Lead, don't follow raises with weak hands (AJ and below unpaired))
  • Be aware of trips
  • They're probably not bluffing

Got more?

If you're 10 people out of the money in a PS MTT, and Lee Jones gives you QQ or KK, consider laying it down if someone reraises you big. It's a setup.
