I was watching the Agassi/Blake match for the first two sets. Agassi was getting creamed so I quit watching close to the end of the second set. Apparently I just missed an amazing match that came down a close tiebreak... WOW. WHY DID I MISS ITTTTT I'M SUCH A MORON. Damn Bridget Moynahan and Colin Farrell for distracting me with the Recruit.

. . .

I'm a bit puzzled at the news/rumor that Apple is teaming up with Motorola to put iTunes on cell phones.

Would you ever trust your cellphone to play music? It's not even the fidelity that I'm worried about ... but I wouldn't dare risk running my battery out to listen to some MP3s. And with iPods getting so tiny (esp the new ipod nano), is it really a big hassle to carry around another music player?

And isn't this undercutting Apple's hardware (iPod?) Or is this simply an attempt simply to allow competitors to use their software?

I'm just a bit puzzled.

making ipod smaller with a display is genius. integrating an ipon onto a cell phone is just asking for problems. And your right.. i wonder what teh lifetime there is going to be. oh well. i don't have cingular.. so i don't care..

but while we're on the verge of combinging technologies..

what about.. putting an ipod on the keyless entry device? what about adding a USB port to your stereo face in your car? what about adding blue tooth functionality to make wireless earphones for that keyless entry ipod device that adds additional functionality like allowing remote programability.

i'm not sure it is "genius." i mean it's simply a marriage between the shuffle and the normal ipod (flash-based to save the HD) ... but it's damn smart.

in general, we need more BT support on stuff, although it's a bitch on battery life.

Exclusive contracts with particular mobile service providers. It's O2, the ex-BT cell phone company in the UK.

I don't believe that. I think i-pod by itself is a billion dollar deal, and why share with motorola? And the quality, like you said, would probably suck.

the ones who are confident enough to say that they are morons are the ones who, in truth, think that they are not. :P

Like Brain always says, "To take over the world". They'll have more control and influence. Plus, if apple/itunes doesn't do it, Motorolla will get napster or someone else to do it. Plus plus, Apple could... i dont' know, start developing cell phones for motorolla and other companies... anything's possible. That Steve Jobs is one crazy bastage.
