Fiscal discipline: if you don't get it right now, you may never get it right. First good step would be to build up that emergency reserve.

Don't be too freaked about your situation though. It took me at least six months before I was financially stable after i started working. Had to clear off a few thousand in plastic debt first.

I'm not horribly behind financially ... it just seems that "one more paycheck" would help me "clear the edge." I've been saving most of my paycheck towards a real estate purchase within the next year, so I'm not in horrible shape. Luckily i came out of college debt-free (thank GOODNESS), so I'm more fortunate than most.

I had a toothache which really sucked, and reading a list last night, something jumped out at me, "Being poor is hoping the toothache goes away." That I did :/
