This makes me sick. A dumbass who believes he is a Ricer God killed two kids with his car... and somehow he still has a license; he wasn't even charged with anything.

I posted a comment in the weblog entry about it ... I posted a comment at the bottom asking if what he did was involuntary manslaughter. Perhaps some of you law-nerds (I'm staring at you, Aleen) could help clarify this for me?

Since baby died I have become an advocate of C.E.A.S.R. (Car Enthusiasts Against Street Racing) thrying to reach out to the local racers with the way my life has changed since I lost Aiko. My speaking has gotten at least three kids signed up.

This, sadly, is not an isolated case. The boy that killed my baby also bragged about it only a little while afterwards at Hawaii Raceway Park. Word got back to me about it becaure is has a Xanga and he posted about how he \"Got away scott free.\" Well I have to believe that if the law of this world fails us, there is the law of the world to come to look forwards to.

We have, since baby died, had 17 more automobile fatalities in Hawaii. 10 were caused by drug and or alchahol related judgement loss, five were directly related to street racing, all 10 of the drivers in the incidents had levels of Marijuana proven to cause delayed reaction times durring driving trials and not 1 of the 9 teen drivers were charged with murder (or any of the other logical sentences related to vehicular manslaughter)...

These are not responsible or even caring people. This type of reaction is, to me, to be expected. We live in a consequenceless society. We dont want anything to be wrong and if we can proove that we are a nice person before a judge they will set us free.

We have over crowded prisons, but undercrowded diner tables. We have wide spread medical advances, but people dying of hunger. (Something we dont need a Harvard medical degree to fix.) Everyday people drift appart from one another and forget that at the end of their nose there are other real people suffering besides ourselves.

I miss Aiko.
