days it takes to restore power in US/Canada: 2 days
days it takes to restore power in Iraq: ?????

Granted, they're pretty different situations, but I don't think it looks too good on the world stage when we can't get the goddamn electricy back on all the way in Iraq (but we making really good progress, I hear).

yeah why not??????
there is no evidence to prove a lot of things that are said, so why cant i believe this one.
i mean dont get me wrong gettin rid of saddam hussein was right, but why was so much care given to protecting the oil pipelines.
why wasnt this same care given to protecting iraqi civilians or helpin to gettin them drinkin water.

ok i dont really believe it was the reason for going to war, but it could be one of them.

just like (and this is a very light hearted comment) bush was just tryin to get revenge on saddam for tryin to kill his father.

i am just sceptical. till saddam is dead and iraq is safe i will believe the war was beneficial to all. or if they even find just one single weapon of mass destruction then mayb i will be grateful to bush or blair for going to war on my behalf and on behalf of everyone else and the people of iraq.

so far they still think the war is a load of shit and has done more damage than good.

Rather than reply with an extended reply, I'll send you a link of a firsthand experience.

i would like to believe all that but i just cant......

read something observer newspaper really long article about american imperialism. one point made is that americans dont ever think they are doing anything wrong and cant believe that people think they have any other motives but to help.

it goes on to say that the british never believed something this stupid when they were out ruling the world

the question wasn't whether you "believed it" or not. that was a factual e-mail sent from someone in the field. it's not something he decided to make up for propaganda's sake.
