such is life. for a while now, i've been contributing my server admining, my resources, and my time to maintaining a server for a free website hosting community; it's the highest ranked free hosting site on a large free hosting review site... and it's not going the way of geosh'itties or xoom ... it's an ad-free service of which i make no money. it's primarily targetted for younger kids who don't have CCs so they can get webspace with full access to php/cgi/other stuff to learn more about webdesigning. it was rewarding for a while, but now it seems that a lot of people are just "freeloading" the service. people used ot care about the community but now it just seems they ask me to do all this work for them and they don't bother doing anything back for me.

it's not that i expect them to do anything, but there's a certain limitation to which i'm willing to devote my time/expertise/resources for a lose-lose situation for me... soon i reach that breaking point and the party's over.

::sigh:: i've just been having major doubts about it; the community has gotten rather large (to the point where i can't handle the service myself and rely on the volunteer work of members to help keep things organized), but things seem to be ... slowing down. people are doing less and less work ... placing more pressure on me... and this is something i really don't have the time/energy to deal with (or maybe i'm just lazy).

::sigh:: btw, i'm redoing my webpage ;)
